Low-Carbon Binder Systems

The construction industry is shifting rapidly toward sustainability. While eco-friendly "hybrid" binders significantly show lower carbon footprints, they often present frustrating trade-offs: sluggish early strength, extended drying times, and increased risk of shrinkage.

E-MENTRA BOOSTER is engineered to eliminate those effects.

As a high-performance chemical activating agent, it bridges the performance gap in low-clinker and hybrid binder systems, improving rapidly early strength and superior durability without sacrificing sustainability targets.

Why E-MENTRA BOOSTER?

When clinker factor goes down, performance shouldn't go with it. E-MENTRA BOOSTER specifically targets the hydration kinetics of blended cements, driving rapid hydration.

Early Strength

Speeds up the early-stage hydration process to deliver high compressive strength within the critical 12-to-24-hour window. This allows faster de-molding of precast elements accelerating production cycles.

Shortened Drying Times

By optimizing water binding it significantly decreases excess free water, cutting down overall drying times and accelerating subsequent flooring or coating installations.

Reduced Shrinkage

Controls volume changes during curing to drastically lower autogenous and drying shrinkage,resulting in a denser matrix with fewer pores improving resistance to water penetration, carbonation, and chemical attack.

How it works: E-MENTRA BOOSTER acts as a chemical nucleating agent. It provides physical starting points for calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) gel growth while chemically accelerating the dissolution of supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) like slag, calcined clay, and fly ash.

Technical Performance 

Early Strength Increase: Up to 20–35% improvement at 1 and 2 days.

Shrinkage Reduction: Up to 30% reduction in total drying shrinkage.

Drying Time Savings: Accelerates ready-to-coat dryness by up to 24–48 hours depending on ambient conditions.

Dosage Rate: Typically 3% to 6% by weight of binder (customized based on SCM ratio).
